Yes — I provide secure, HIPAA-compliant online therapy for individuals and couples across Northern Virginia, including Fairfax, Annandale, Merrifield, Falls Church, McLean, Vienna, Arlington, Rosslyn, Alexandria, and Loudoun County.
Sessions are designed to help you find clarity, healing, and growth — all from the comfort and privacy of your own space anywhere in Virginia.

Q2: How do I schedule my first session?

You can request an appointment directly through my website or by emailing stevenspatz@cardinallightcounseling.com.

I offer a 30 free minute consultation so you can ask questions and get a sense of what working together might look like before scheduling your first full session.

Q3: What do you specialize in?

My areas of focus include sex therapy, relationship and couples counseling, intimacy and communication concerns, LGBTQ+ affirming care, navigating the challenges of dating, ADHD management, anxiety and depression management, and major life transitions.

I provide a compassionate, collaborative space for individuals and couples to explore connection, identity, and personal growth. My approach is warm, grounded, and focused on helping clients reconnect with themselves and with one another in meaningful, lasting ways.

Q4: Are you accepting new clients?

Yes — I currently have openings for new clients for online therapy throughout Virginia, including Fairfax, Annandale, Merrifield, Falls Church, McLean, Vienna, Arlington, Rosslyn, Alexandria, and Loudoun County.

Primarily, openings are available during daytime hours (8am - 5pm). There are very limited evening sessions available.

Q5: Do you take insurance or offer sliding-scale rates?

I’m an out-of-network provider, but many clients are able to use their insurance benefits for partial reimbursement.

I also offer a sliding scale between $130 and $175 per session to keep therapy accessible for those seeking ongoing support.

Q6: What are the benefits of online therapy?

Online therapy offers privacy, flexibility, and comfort — no commute or waiting room stress.
It’s ideal for busy professionals, parents, and couples who want consistent, meaningful support that fits naturally into daily life.
